Adorable.

Well, how many of you knew that the seed used to grow these furry creatures is also used to improve your health?

It’s true! Chia seeds are friendly little seeds that have a variety of health benefits that range from keeping you fuller longer, to help reduce your blood pressure. Check out the following links for more information:

So the next question is, what do you do with chia seeds? Well, pretty much any and everything! I put them in oatmeal, overnight oats, smoothies, cereal, and anything in that family. They have a slight taste to them, enough that it’s somewhat noticeable when they’re there, but it’s not that bad. When they’re in liquids they turn a little gel-like (which is why I love putting them in my smoothies!) I buy my chia seeds at The Healthy Life Market by the mall. I love finding out new ways to use my chia seeds, which leads me to my question of the day,

What do you like to use chia seeds for? Got any sweet recipes??
